The need: An urban renewal development to capture community resources in providing accessible and affordable LTC and primary care as well as support services to senior residents in urban Detroit, who might otherwise be at serious risk.
The solution: An adaptive reuse renovation of a former manufacturing facility to accommodate a full scale PACE (Program for All-inclusive Care of the Elderly) Clinic. Current phases also anticipate affordable assisted living,and long term objectives include Greenhouses® as well as independent senior living and a Mather Care. The development expects to serve 750 seniors annually and create 650 jobs.
